Connie Begg is an artist, educator and curator living in San Francisco.  Her art practice is deeply connected to exploration and experimentation, discovering and collecting, gathering and testing. Her work is informed by her fascination of history and attraction to antiquated or labor-intensive processes that are often unpredictable.

Connie has an MFA from Mills College and a BA in Photography & Art History from San Francisco State University.  She is a dedicated professor in the Graduate School of Photography at the Academy of Art University, where she has taught for the past 20 years.

Connie maintains an art studio, darkroom and a Model 14 chemical  Photo booth from the 1960's.
